Our induction is a short, friendly session to introduce you to our darkroom, equipment, and working methods. It’s a supportive, relaxed start that helps you feel confident and comfortable from day one. You’ll have the freedom to work on your projects, with guidance available to help you get the most out of your time here. This is for people with exprecience printing analogue processes with enalrgers. Its not a printing workshop. Its a welcome to our space.
To become a member and use the printing facilities, some prior darkroom experience is required.
An induction is compulsory – this is to make sure everyone stays safe and healthy in the space.
Membership Terms & Responsibility
At Lakeside Darkroom, memberships are looked after by our members themselves. This means:
We don’t monitor or manage individual memberships on your behalf
We’re unable to cancel or pause memberships for members
All memberships renew automatically through our website platform – unless you cancel it yourself
You’re in control
At Lakeside Darkroom, we’ve designed our memberships to be flexible and suit your personal schedule. Rather than being tied strictly to the start and end of a calendar month, your membership runs for a full month from the day you join.
That way, you always get a complete month of access – no matter what date you decide to start.
No refunds
Please keep in mind that we can’t offer refunds for memberships, workshops, or any other bookings. As a small Community Interest Company (CIC), we have limited financial flexibility, and we’re committed to staying accessible and affordable for everyone. Our refund policy is clearly stated when you sign up and in all our communications.
